Richard Groninger Obituary
Richard Darwin "Dick" Groninger
84 of Hobart, IN, passed away August 3, 2012. He was born at home near North Manchester, IN and previously resided in Plainfield, IN and Bethel Park, PA. He was preceded in death by wife Jayne (Davis), parents H. Galen "Tiny" and Geneva (Birch) Groninger and sister, Gloria Kays. Dick is survived by his brother, Don; sisters, Norma (Bill) Ware and Judy (Tom) Holznecht; sons, Mik (Nancy) and Steve (Janice) Groninger and Tim (Sue) Mills-Groninger and grandchildren, Caitlin, Fiona (Michael) Groninger-Poe, Eileen, Max and Maggie. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for the Atomic Energy Commission and Westinghouse Electric, where he managed nuclear reactors for the U.S. Navy's submarine fleet and the aircraft carrier Enterprise. A memorial service will be held in West Lafayette, IN at a later date. Burns Funeral Home , Hobart, IN is handling arrangements.

My deepest sympathy to all surviving members of Dick's family. Dick was a great friend and advisor at work at Bettis as well as after hours when we socialized with our wives and friends.
