Robert Montgomery Obituary

Robert L. "Bob" Montgomery 55, Mooresville, died February 22, 2008. Bob was born October 17, 1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Everett S. and Mabel Frances (Musser) Montgomery. Bob worked as an electrician, having been employed at Best Foods, Electrical Equipment Company and the Indianapolis StarNews. More recently, he worked for Shambaugh & Son for 16 years, from 1991 until his retirement in July of 2007. He had been a member of the IBEW 481 since 1973. In addition, he was a life member of the National Rifle Association and the Martinsville Elks Lodge #1349, having served two times as past Exalted Ruler. He was a 1970 graduate of Washington High School in Indianapolis. Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Montgomery. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Kathy (Graham) Montgomery; son, John E. Montgomery (Andrea Dawn Taber) of Mooresville; daughter, Sarah K. Noel (Jeremy L.) of Mooresville; brothers, Jack Montgomery of Danville, Jim Montgomery of Indianapolis, Jerry Montgomery of Mooresville, sisters, Laticia Scruggs of Indianapolis, Emmagene Key of Wanamaker; grandchildren, Peighton Riece Noel, Preston Rhea Noel, Ty Robert Montgomery. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, in the Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, with visitation on Monday, February 25, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral chapel.
