In thinking of Sandy over these last couple of weeks, what I remember most was her smile, her laugh and the upbeat way she lived life. She was always smiling a full-faced kind of smile and always laughing with her full spirit. Someone else below mentioned that she was like a second Mom, and back in the day that was what she was to me too. I bet there are a lot of others that would say the same, that is the kind of person that she was. I send so much love to all of you Chuck, Lisa, Sara and Greg, she was a beautiful human. Many hugs, Jill Fleming Durrer

To Chuck, Lisa, Sara, and Greg,

I'm so saddened to hear of Sandy's passing. She was the ultimate hostess--her baking, crafts, and decorating were amazing. (I still make many of her recipes). She never missed a birthday, anniversary or milestone. I always knew that her Christmas letter would be the first of the season! Although it has been many, many years since we were all together I'm thankful we got to share so many memories.

With love to you all,
Danielle Routhier Peck

Chuck, Lisa, Sara, Greg - Had I found out sooner I would be with you all right now. Your mom was a force to be reckoned with - a steadfast friend, a fierce mother, and a woman of faith. She was my second mom and you guys Lisa, Sara and Greg were the siblings I never had. To this day, she would tease me because when we were little, I would dress up like Wonder Woman with a tin foil headband and tin foil bullet proof bracelets and that's what we would play. But after refusing to let leukemia slow her down all these years, she was the true Wonder Woman. I am sorry so and I would be there with you if I knew before tonight. Love you all.

So there was a knock on my bedroom door, I opened it, and there's a tree standing there with packages at the base and Mom's face in the middle of it. Mom was in a tree costume! Hiiiiistarical! Then almost immediately she says, 'I have a snowman costume for you if you want!?' Of course I jumped right into it. That playful spirit is one of my favorite things, I got from her, that will live on through me.
