Steve Conner Obituary

Steve Conner

Indianapolis - Steve Conner passed away peacefully in his home January 16, 2018, five months following the untimely death of his beloved wife Bonita Kratzer Conner. Steve was the son of Joseph and Dorothy (Carr) Conner. He was born in Indianapolis February 7, 1947. He was a 1965 graduate of Decatur Central High School. After a stint in the army, Steve became an expert machinist/repairman working at several manufacturing/distributing companies in the greater Indianapolis area. Steve's interests varied from motorcycle riding, to fishing and other outdoor activities to frequenting antique and flea shops. While Steve, or "Condor" as he was called by his friends, appeared to be the ultimate jokester and cynic, in reality he was a man with a heart of gold who would lend a helping hand or give the shirt off his back to anyone who was in need.

Besides his beloved wife Bonita, Steve was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Dotty Conner as well as his grandparents. He is survived by his daughters Stephanie (Lawson) Bonar of Franklin, Tisha Conner (Mark) Doty of New Whiteland, his step-sons Jeff (Brandy) Starks of Fillmore, Kris Starks of Greencastle, his grandchildren Billy Calvert, Nicholas Calvert, Robert (Megan) Hunt, Cory Hunt, Kortnee Starks, Logan Starks, six great-grandchildren and his brother David (Karen) Conner of Bloomington. He will be greatly missed by all.

To respect Steve's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service; if anyone has a story or anecdote they would like to share about Steve, please feel free to leave on his Face Book page.
