I was sorry to hear of Steve's passing.
I am a North Central High School Graduate class of 1989 and so sorry to hear of a fellow Panther's death.
I am a fellow Eagle Scout thus saddened that one less leader is gone.
Steve did great volunteer work helping to build homes for people and helping to repair the world and thus a hole to help humanity heal remains open.
Steve was a professional pursuing justice for all, a righteous man gone.
For the Sandy family, I am sorry. You are in my thoughts and prayers and know that your son made a tremendous difference in many lives.

Dearest Bobby, Elaine, Rachel, Carol and most beloved Erszikam,
The awful news about young Steven's death and your unacceptable loss, has deeply saddened us. We will for ever cherish the memories of the times we have spent together. Steven, who was born on the same day as Lee-Raz, only three years earlier, was not only mentioned by us on a regular basis since, but has been a part of our family albums. As we have watched him grow from a precious handsome boy into the fine young man, we constantly felt blessed upon the occasions that brought us together which have left long lasting beautiful memories. Our hearts go out to you in this time of sorrow and grief. Our thoughts are with each and one of you during this impossible difficult time. Oh God! Steven will live in our hearts as long as we will, with much love.

I am very shocked and saddened to hear about the unexpected loss of Steven. I have known him since our time in the Boy Scouts and as he was older than me, I looked up to him as a surrogate older brother. We shared a mutual love of history, pick-up basketball, and camping. I will always treasure his friendship, sense of humor and easy-going personality. My condolences to the Sandy family and Steve's loved ones. My family and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
