Terry:
I have been trying to call you and I just came across this news. I must admit I’m shocked to lose a friend like you. For anyone who’s reading this I’ve known Terry since I was 16 years old and we have remained friends since that time. I used to help him in order to pay off my bills for my horse. He taught me so much about horses, and of course I taught him a little bit about basketball. We had many great times and some close calls with some tough horses. Terry I’m going to miss you a lot and I’m sorry I didn’t get to come to see you sooner. Our memories will live on forever. I will see you in heaven one of these days. With much love and sympathy. Your friend, Brian Moore.

Terry was like a father to me. I loved him. I loved his son and his father. And I am heartbroken.
Terry was a true man. A gentleman and a hardworking man and he always had my respect as the hardest worker in any room.

We were shocked and saddened by the untimely passing of Terry and offer our condolences and warm wishes to Sue and the family. We got to know Terry in Mazatlan and enjoyed his competitive spirit in pickleball. He had an infectious laugh, enjoyed good music and was always a joy to be around. We will certainly miss him and offer our sincere warm thoughts. Ken and Gail Komm, Sherwood Park Alberta

I first got acquainted with Terry through our first IAEP trailride at Midwest. We hit it off pretty well, and we enjoyed riding the trails there a couple times. Since then we were pretty good friends at all the IAEP meetings, and visited on the phone a few times. I'm sure his clients have lost a dedicated, caring, Dr. and friend. My condolences go out to his family. In reading his obituary, I was surprised to see he loved canoeing in the Boundary Waters, because I do too, and that common interest never came up in our conversations.. He will be missed.

Our families spent Christmas together for many years, in addition to trips to state parks, Boundary Waters Canoe Area, and many an evening watching sunsets enjoying a cold one. More recently, we have spent time with Terry and Sue on vacations to Canada, Mexico and a trip to see sandhill cranes in northwest Indiana. I am still in shock at losing Terry. I will miss you, old friend.

Dr. Brandenburg was my equine vet for 15 years. I couldn’t have asked for better care of my horse. He was one in a million and will be very hard to replace his equine caring and skills . What a wonderful man.

Terry was a great person, a talented veterinarian and possessed a great love for horses. We met 30 odd years ago when I brought home a gelding named Tinker. Nine horses later I brought home a quarter horse gelding Macks Magic Man, aka Buddy, a babysitter for my great nieces to learn to ride with. When you came to the barn for him the first time you exclaimed he is out of my dads stallion Harleys Pride and you were right he was his grand sire and you owned his half brother. Thank you so much for all you did for my horses. I learned a lot and became a better caretaker of my horse family having known you. You always came when I called whether it was a wellness visit or an emergency in the middle of the night. My condolences to Sue, whom I know brought great happiness into your life, and your family.

I extend my condolences to the family of Terry. A very good person. Terry and I grew up in Muncie. We became good friends on the baseball diamond, football field and in school classes we shared. Although I have not seen Terry in years, I am sure that he still possessed that great smile and laugh. I will always remember those qualities of his, plus his love of horses. Peace to You. Terry was not only my vet but also a dear friend for over thirty years. He never hesitated to come to our barn when I had a concern about Little Me or Chinook, regardless of the time of day or night. Often I think some of those trips were more for my peace of mind rather than a serious equine issue. On routine calls Terry frequently seemed to have time to chat awhile after the horse's needs were addressed. There was rarely a conversation without laughter. The darkest day of my life with horses seemed bearable because Terry was there. My husband and I were privileged to attend the reception when Terry and Sue were married. Of all my memories of Terry Brandenburg, the one I choose to hold onto is the joy that Sue brought into Terry's life. My heart and prayers go out to Sue and Terry's family.

When we first met Terry in Mazatalan we became instant friends due to his likeable personality. We enjoyed many great times together with Terry and Sue from ball games to Plaza Machado, Henry's, Poncho's and Friday nights at La Fabula. Terry always enjoyed a good laugh. We will cherish every memory. We never knew when we said goodbye it would be forever. Our deepest sympathy to Sue and family.
Your friends from Canada.

Terry was an excellent Veterinarian and friend. I had used him for Vet services since the 1980s and when my horse colicked 10 years ago, because of Terry's experience, knowledge and wisdom, he knew my horse needed to go to Purdue for surgery or he would not make it. My horse is now 24 years old. I am glad Terry and Sue got to have a loving marriage and many great adventures together and wish they could have had so many more. I will truly miss him. I pray for God's comfort for Sue and Terry's family.

Terry was there for me at a time when I was completely heartbroken and had lost all hope. He was thoughtful and supportive, and never expected anything in return for his generosity. I think of him often when I ride Phyllis, who was gifted to me by his father. He had a tremendous impact on my life. I’m so sorry for your loss and pray for your family’s peace during this difficult time.

Terry made many many trips to take care of my horses over the 25 plus years that I knew Terry - he was as a great equine vet! Also was lucky enough to spend some non-horsey social times with Terry which involved some beer drinking. I moved to St Louis a few years back and sorry to say lost track of Terry. He will be missed by many.
My condolences to Terry's wife and family

Terry was such a kind and caring individual . He was my first vet of my for my horses as a young adult. He was always willing to help in any way he could. More than a vet, he was a good friend to me and everyone we commonly knew. I was proud to be his friend. After I moved to Arizona, we lost touch, but I always knew if I needed him, he’d be there to help. I know he will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to all his family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear this news. I only had the pleasure of knowing Terry the last six or so years of his life, having been introduced by a fellow Bridge player at Ulen. He had become a great friend and in addition to the Bridge games, we shared a lot of laughs and a few philosophical discussions. I was looking forward to having him as a friend for many years to come. He had talked about getting the Bridge group together for a weekend in Mexico, which I'm sure would have been a great time. Sue, my thoughts are with you, and I hope to be able to express my sympathy in person next Thursday. Prayers,
