Thomas Summers Obituary

Thomas Michael Summers 55, of Bloomington, IN died February 28, 2007. He was born September 20, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN, the son of Carl and Lois Summers. He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran. He was employed by The American Legion National Headquarters in Indianapolis for 26 years. He was also employed by American Fasteners in Bloomington for 2 years. He was a long-standing member of the American Legion Post 500 in Speedway, IN and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife, Marge Summers of Bloomington and 2 children, Jennifer Pfoutz and Bradley Summers, both of Indianapolis; his father, Carl Summers of Indianapolis; 3 brothers, Mark Summers of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, Chris Summers of Mooresville, Indiana and Greg Summers of Indianapolis; 4 sisters, Susan Blackwell and Ann Faires of Indianapolis; Jane Simpson of Pittsboro, IN and Nancy Andretti of Mooresville, NC and grandmother Edna Brochin of Indianapolis, IN. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until Noon Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Speedway, 2950 N. High School Road, Speedway, IN with a memorial service following at noon.
