Deepest sympathy to Betty and the Oskins family from Bill and Rachel Harold

February 20, 2013

I remember all of the good times at your house--fun & laughter.
Udell was so generous to let us girls borrow his red '57
Chevy to go buzzing the drive-ins--TeePee, Pole, Jack 'N Jill, etc. He always had a cute smile for everyone--especially for that pretty lady named Betty!
Our heartfelt sympathy, love, & prayers go to all of the
Oskins families.

Mr. and Mrs. Oskins "always" treated us northside boys with dignity and respect that we really didn't deserve. Mr. "O" was always smiling and giggling while Mrs. "O" was having her fun with us when we visited their house. He was kind, gentle and just a classy person. My heart is with the entire Oskins clan as you celebrate his life.

Papaw,
You were a wonderful man. You were loved by so many and you have left a lasting legacy in all of us grand kids! I will remember you as a strong, intelligent, fearless man who loved unconditionally. We will take care of Mamaw for you as you rest peacefully in heaven.

Mr. O was a great man that always made me feel comfortable when I was in their home. Anyone that had the pleasure of knowing him is a better person for it. Anyone who did not know him can simply take a look at his children to see what a great man he was.

Papaw you are in at least 75% of my childhood memories. The highlights of my childhood were spending them with you and Mamaw after school and during the summer. You were the smartest man I've ever known. Have a good time in Heaven with your crosswords and your Mountain Dew.

Though I did not have the pleasure of meeting you, I know what a fine man you were by the example you have set in your son, Clay. May you be at peace now, and forever.
