Virginia C. Griffith

Virginia C. Griffith 93, of Greenwood died October 21, 2009. She was born on October 28, 1915 a daughter of Homer C. and Cleo Lyons. She married John L. Griffith on October 28, 1934. He precedes her in death. Survivors include one son, John Griffith (Joyce); two grandsons, Mark D. Griffith (Janet) and Charles R. Griffith (Donna); five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Charles Griffith; and two daughters, Nancy Sue and Mary Virginia Griffith. Mrs. Griffith was a member of Rocklane Christian Church, was active in the Republican party for many years, and was a member of Topps #264 Greenwood for over 35 years. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4-8 p.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St., Greenwood, IN. A funeral service will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Rocklane Christian Church, 4430 Rocklane Rd., Greenwood, IN 46143. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Rob Keaton will officiate.
