Wayne Hansen Obituary
S. Wayne Hansen
72, Indianapolis, passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2014. Born Oct. 22, 1941 in Indianapolis, he was a 1959 graduate of Manual High School, attended Indiana Central/ IUPUI and was a veteran of the 38th Division of Indiana Army National Guard. He retired from Ameritech and was a Independent Tax and Business Consultant; he owned Professional Sales and Services.
A witty and humorous soul, he truly enjoyed people. He enjoyed boating, camping, fishing and golf with his sons. He was a member of the American Legion, Sertoma, Central Indiana Boat Club where he served as Commodore; U.S. Power Squadron, and U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was also Precinct committeeman.
Survivors: His wife of 52 years, Kathryn; son, Jeff (Crystal) Hansen; mother, Maxine Hansen; two sisters, Linda (Richard) Watson, Judi (Roger) Fiste and five granddaughters, LeChelle Hansen, Lindsay Hudelson, Brittni Hansen, Candace Hansen, Mikala Hansen; three step grandchildren, Crystal Pitcher, Erica and Jason Riordon; three great grandchildren Andrew, Brayden and BreElla.
He was preceded in death by son, Brett Andrew Hansen; and father, Roland Hansen.
Visitation: Thursday, 4-8 at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch , 1605 S. State Rd, 135. The service will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 prior to the service. Burial: Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
