Willa Hale Obituary
82, formerly of St. Paul, passed away on September 6, 2015 at 9:40 a.m. at Arlington Place Health Campus, Indianapolis. Willa was born October 13, 1932 to William Alfred and June Allen Hurst. She married Kenneth Robert Hale on August 11, 1961. Survivors include daughter, Vicky Sue (Daniel) Lauber of Osgood, IN; son, Luke Allen (Michaela) Hale of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Donn (Marty) Hurst of St. Paul, IN; sister-in-law, Beryl Hurst of TN. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 1 brother and 1 sister.
Willa was a forecaster for Indiana Bell for 34 years, retiring in 1985. She graduated from St. Paul High School. She was the captain of the Irvington Crime Watch, a member of the Indiana Bell Pioneers, a member of the YMCA Breakfast Club, and the Shelbyville Card Club. Willa loved her faithful shelties, Kahlil and Bella, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Services will be on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Glenn E. George Funeral Home, St. Paul, IN, with visitation from 4-8 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2015 at the funeral home. Rev. Karen Hurst will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or the Paul Hill Cemetery Fund in care of the funeral home.
