Wolfgang Gruber Obituary
age 87, of Indianapolis, passed away February 8, 2016. Born March 7, 1928 to Wolfgang and Emma Gruber in Burghausen, Germany, he was the 4th of 5 siblings (Elisabeth, Margarete, Hans Juergen, Helmut). He is survived by his brother Helmut, former wife and best friend Barbara Gruber, son Peter (Debra), son Richard (Rose Thompson) and daughter Heidi Morris (Jeff). His loving grandchildren include Phoenix Gruber, Kori Morris, Jaymi Morris and Jared Morris. He is also survived by his faithful canine companion, Wolfie.
Wolfgang was an active participant in the German Liederkranz and member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Martinsville, Indiana. While attending Kansas State University, he traveled around the United States and fell in love with this country. He chose to stay and raised his family while succeeding in business and life. He was a very passionate and honorable man and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Eagle Creek Park Foundation. Viewing on Thursday, February 18th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with services and burial following at Crown Hill Funeral Home.

After 40 some years when I find an old friend it has to be this way. How sorry I am that I didn't connect with Wolfgang during better times. I worked with him at HPS from the time I was an early teen until my marriage in 1967 and moving to California. My thoughts and prayers are will Wolfgang's family at this time of loss. He will always be remembered so very fondly.
