Paul Ronollo
March 30, 2015
Ana Sierra Ronollo (nee Gutierrez), went to be with her Lord early on March 27, 2015, at the ManorCare/ Mercy Fitzgerald Lansdowne, Pa. after a two year battle of complications from Alzheimer's Disease at age 84 years. Beloved wife of 58 years to Robert L. Ronollo of Glenolden, PA, formerly of the "Woods" in Berlin. Devoted mother of Regina and her husband Robert Connolly of Las Vegas, NV, Adele and her husband Ronald Randazzo of New York City, NY, Mark and his wife Marie Ronollo of King of Prussia, PA and Paul and his wife Katie Ronollo of Titusville, NJ. Loving and proud grandmother of Reina and Paulina Connolly, Lucas, Christian and Sierra Ronollo, Max and Sam Ronollo. Dear sister-in-law of Sister Arlene Ronollo. For Ana, nothing was more important than her family. She loved to have the family gather around her at her home for birthdays, holidays and celebrations. Christmas Eve was an especially joyous time with grandchildren around her and always plenty of home cooked food for everyone to enjoy. She was an accomplished professional chef, but long before she took on that career in her forties, she created great feasts and loved to entertain all who walked into her home. She was greatly involved in the community helping with Lion's Club functions, volunteering as a Girl Scout leader and volunteering at her children's school. She was a native of Panama and instilled a love of Panamanian culture in her children. She was tremendously nurturing and warm hearted. She moved her parents from Panama and cared for their daily needs at the end of their lives. She provided the same loving and nurturing care to her children. Ana loved to laugh and like her father told great stories that sometimes had an edge and always put a smile on your face. We will always be left with the fondest of memories and of her great love for her "familia." She would always care for her grandchildren and prepare special treats for them whenever they visited and they will always remember how she would skin and cut up apples and even cook them and sprinkle them with cinnamon when they were little. Through these little loving acts, all her offspring learned loving kindness and affection for one another and for those around them- her lasting legacy. She was married to and survived by Robert. Their marriage lasted 58 years. They met in Philadelphia when Ana came to the States for college. They complimented each other perfectly. They had a loving and special relationship through ups and downs that continued to strengthen over time.
Most sincere appreciation is expressed to the Staff at ManorCare/Mercy Fitzgerald in Lansdowne, PA for their dedication to her care for over two years.
