Lynn Haven, Florida - Grace Ida Lewis, 84, previously of Wichita, KS, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 6, 2021. She was born on January 14, 1937 in Great Bend, KS to William and Dora Bauer.
Grace worked as a Secretary for the IRS. She was an active member of the Village Church of St. Andrews and The Taking Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) organization, both of which are located in Panama City, FL.
She was very youthful minded. She loved her family (including grand pups) and friends with all her heart. She loved to travel back home to Kansas and Oklahoma to visit family and friends. She enjoyed socializing, crafts, swimming, playing card games, listening to Elvis Presley songs, technology and watching fireworks and sunsets. Her sweet spirit, contagious laugh and warm smile enabled her to make friends everywhere she went. Grace was very generous and humble. She was adventurous and liked to try new things such as Tai Chi and line dancing. She was our "walking sunshine."
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Lewis; one son, Scott Lewis; her parents; one brother, William "Sonny" Bauer and one sister, Judy Pratt. Grace is survived by one sister, Louise McCord; and three children, Bill Lewis (Roxanna), Sheree Lewis (Sherrie), and Kim Teer (Bob); one grandson, Raymond Lewis; and one great granddaughter, Kierra Lewis.
A graveside service, with Pastor Terry Williams officiating, will take place at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Resthaven Cemetery in Wichita. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you plant a tree in Florida at www.thegiftedtree.com or www.treegivers.com in memory of Grace Lewis.

As Grace's sister I have wonderful memories of her, her kindness, her infectious laugh, her patience like our mother, our fun times together & many other loving qualities. I'll really miss her as will many others who knew her.

Grace was a very kind, sweet lady, and I was so blessed to know her when I was growing up. She had the brightest smile and brought joy to everyone around her. I will keep her family and friends close in prayer.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Grace once or twice, she had a sweet disposition and kindness in her eyes. I know she will be missed by many. Her kindness lives on in her sweet daughter, Kim. I'm thankful to know this family and will continue to keep you all in my prayers.
