I fondly remember Tony as the nice man who walked the drive with his United States Marine Corp. hat strolling by with a friendly hello. I will always remember when he was the grand marshal of the 4th of July parade. As he passed by Snowball Drive, he smiled ear to ear as his neighbors waved and cheered. You knew just how much he loved his country and his community. Thank you for your service, Tony. You are sadly missed by your neighbors.

We have missed Tony since he moved to Newtown. We have wonderful memories of the stories and accounts he would share about his time in the service. Since my wife and two sons were born in Maryland, we had an instant connection although it was mostly on the Eastern Shore. We also shared the love of crabs and the use of Old Bay. He talked of how he would go down to the wharf in DC. and get around DC. His recounting of his four crash landings in various WWII airplanes was a bit harrowing at times. Ejecting over the desert of the Southwest and then running out of gas I believe in Virginia and having to land on a road at night. He has been through more than I care to think about. It was also very nice to see the video he presented at the seminar and talk in San Diego. He mentioned how incredulous these pilots were on how he would land on a carrier with live rockets and them coming loose scooting across the deck upon landing.
Tony ranks as one of the nicest men I have ever met and was also showing a positive and happy demeanor always
God Bless you and your family at this time of loss.

To: Lizz, Ray, Mary, John, Rose Mary and Rita.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family for almost 40 years. Tony was my dearest friend and I have so many wonderful memories.
One of my fondest is of him watching your Mom having fun in the ocean at the Don Cesar Hotel in Florida. He was having a wonderful time just watching her. He was smiling from ear to ear.
We could talk for hours about everything. Once when we were driving to NY to buy wine for Frank Crum for his Xmas gift, we missed our exit and ended up on the George Washington bridge heading for Ct.
What fun we had roller staking. It took many weeks before someone had the courage to ask "what exactly is your relationship". Obviously I wasn't his daughter (I was too tall), and I couldn't be his wife (I was to young). Their response to "we are just friends" was OH. We did make a odd looking couple doing the waltz on skates. I never did learn to skate backwards. He did but broke his arm.
He was so proud of all of you and loved you so much. I will miss him greatly.
Love you all
Linda
