Hi Uncle Barn,
I remember growing up as a young kid being at Grandmom's house and you and Aunt Anna would stop by it would always make me happy. I always knew that soon after the tea and coffee was done i could always get you in a checker game, especially since you were the person who taught me to play. I remember the amazed look on my face the first time i saw you do hambone on your knees and playing the spoons and how long it took me to actually learn it,whenever you saw me you always made sure you went into your pocket to drop coins into my bank always telling me to save up. Also those times on New Years Day when almost all of our family was together, those times I cherish most, but the thing that sticks out the most to me is how much of a classy gentleman you really were, the almost 60 years of marriage to Aunt Anna, the raising of a big and beautiful family including your children,grand-children and greatgrand-children not to mention i have never seen you dressed down you always looked great. All these things are just a testiment of what a great man you were and how much the rest of us will truly miss you,I know the hands of our family in Heaven are waiting to embrace you you will always stay in my mind and heart.
love little johnny

You are truly a wonderful person. You were such a strong male role model in the family and always so sweet, you will be sadly missed by all of us. We were so lucky to have you in our lives. You will be in our thoughts, prayers, and memories forever.
