Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Freeman Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

Remembering and always praying that your heavenly light will always shine. Missing you and knowing that God has another Angel. In our eyes you will always be a hero for sacrificing your life for others. I know that I am truly blessed to have had a nephew who was very thoughtful. May God continue to keep him in his forever unchanging hands.

I served with Bryan from 1994-1997. We began basic training in Ft Sill together and both were assigned to 10th Mountain Division in Ft Drum, NY. He was my battle buddy in basic training and we both left Ft Drum the same day. When I think of my time in the army, and the camaraderie and fun times and the times I wanted to quit, I think of Bryan. Although I lost touch with him after we separated from the Army, I never forgot him. He was my friend. I miss him.

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )

Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….

“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”

I did not know Bryan, but I am remembering

The Other Side

i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.

can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.

i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side

the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

To the family of an American hero. I am truly greatful. I lost my nephew at the age of 20 in June 2004 who was also a SPC in the reserve and at that point realized the price that was being paid for our freedom by the brave men and women and I now do not take my freedom for granted. I just pray that all Americans support our troops and are greatful for those who pay the ultimate sacrifice. "Greater love hath no man than he lay down his life for his friend.

Bryan was one of soldiers and I was left with a void when he was gone. I was Bryans chief for 2 yrs. We laughed we loved and we were red legs. I will never forget my freind my soldier, my artilleryman. I remember bryan everyday . my gunner. I Miss my freind my solder, Bryan

If this person can stand in battle to ensure my freedom, then I will stand in grief with his/her family to honor him/her. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Le Ron A. Wilson (a dear friend KIA 7/6/07, 18yrs old) that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.

I met Bryan during the train up for our deployment to Iraq. He was easy going, respectful and fun to be around. I didn't have a chance to get to know Bryan as well as I would have liked to. All I do know is that I will never forget him and the sacrifice he and his family made for our country. SGT Bryan L. Freeman, is a hero and should never be forgotten.

To the Freeman Family,

My heart goes out to you during your time of sorrow.. Although, I did not know Bryan for very long, I realized what an amazing person he was in the short time I did know him. I am a member of the 404th Civil Affairs BN at FT Dix, and saw Bryan at our monthly drill. I actually was one of the soldiers who helped Bryan "in-process" when he first came to the unit. He always came to drill ready to train, and always joking, making people smile. He was an amazing man and soldier, and he will be sadly missed by all who had the chance to know him.
