Theresa, Tommy, Bobby & Chris,
I am so very sorry to hear about your Mom and Michael's passing. Living next door to the Kane family, I have so many great and happy memories. Many of them just sitting out front on the steps playing games and talking. I also remember the love our parents had for each other. How sad and broken my parents were when your Dad passed away. I will never forget when my Dad was dying, he was in that transition between life and death, he was laying in the hospital bed and we were asking him what he was doing because he looked like he was buttoning up his shirt and putting a tie on and he said I am going out with Porky (what he called your Dad) and Maxi. I always thought your Dad was there to greet my Dad when he arrived on the other side. I can't imagine how hard it was for your Mom after but she was a strong woman who loved her family.
I will keep you all in my prayers knowing how unfair life can be to lose your Mom and brother at the same time, I have no words that can comfort you, but just take one day at a time. You have had more than you share, but cherish the memories. That is all we have some days. Love to you all.

I am so devastated to hear of the lose of your Mom and Michael. My heart is breaking for your entire family. Our parents were such good friends and we all have very happy memories of the vacations up the mountains, the card games, etc. Your Mom always had the sweetest smile and such a gentle nature. I can't imagine how hard it was for her to lose her husband so young and to raise 7 children alone. I always marveled at her strength, even when I was young. Hold on to each other, share your memories and keep your pictures of happy times close. She was an inspiration to many and raised a beautiful family.

Please know how very sorry I am to hear of Mrs. Kane's passing and her son Michael. Just so sad. I have many memories of Mrs. Kane sitting in our kitchen on Emerald Street laughing & talking with my mom. May she and Michael rest in peace.
