In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Our Dear Mother,

Our love and prayers are with you as you enter the kingdom of heaven. We know that you are preparing the way for us as any wonderful mother would do for her beloved children, in life or in death.

Our hearts are heavy but we take solace in knowing that your life on this earth was an insptiration to all. You lived it to the fullest and took advantage of everything which was offered to you.

We loved you dearly and you will be sorely missed not only by us but by everyone whose lives you have touched. You will always remain in our hearts and minds as we will carry the memories of you with us for eternity.

Love,
Your Son Rick and Daughter-in-law Emmy

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. My deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.
