Aunt Claire and I
Linda Leisner

Many memories of my Aunt Claire, she babysat for my brother and I when we were just little ones. I learned some things during those years. To name a few, In her apartment bathroom, NEVER, NEVER turn off the light with wet hands (that was a shocker!), never put a bunch of ketchup on my scrambled eggs, lick it off then put some more on or you will get very sick (Ugh...) and when you run away at the age of 8, to Aunt Claire’s, she is waiting for you because your mother has already called to warn her. Learning to swing on the swings at Cresent Lake, make sure your legs are straight when going forward and pull them tight back on the way back.(this was accompanied with applause at the finish). She would always encourage, even if the situation looked like it was hopeless. She was full of hope, always positive, motivating and self-less. I thank her for sharing all these gifts. When I was 11 we moved to Arizona, kept in touch but not as often. I know with out a doubt she is with our Lord Jesus as the Bible tells me that Jesus said I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. AMEN! I learned from our conversations that she did believe this, so she is in his arms, no more tears and no more pain. Thank you for the memories Aunt Claire, and if it is true that a thousand years on earth is like one day in heaven, I’ll see you in a few hours. My prayers today are for the family and all who cared for and Loved Aunt Claire, that God comfort, strengthen and carry them through these most difficult times.
Love & Hugs, Linda

To the Rubino Family,
I have never met you personally, but I know that you were loved very deeply, especially the grandchildren, her pride and joy. Claire always kept me updated with pictures. May the presence of friends and family bring you comfort. I had the great honor of knowing Claire for a short time, however, I have great memories and lots and lots of laughs. Thanks Claire for sharing mainly lunches and dinners with me and Lois.
Rest in Peace -Thank you for your caring moments.
