DAVID J. Lost his courageous battle on July 3, 2014, at age 50. Loving husband of JoAnne (nee DiMezzo). Father of Jamie (Drew) Rau, Joey, Danielle (Albert Teti) Baldwin. Will be missed by his best four legged buddy, Rocco. Brother of Brian (Beth), and Mark (Jackie) Baldwin. Brother-in-law of Jim (the late Patrice) DiMezzo. Son of the late Joseph and Phyllis Baldwin. Son-in-law of Christine (the late Vincent) DiMezzo. Uncle of Nicole, Jaclyn, Alexa, Tara, Zach, Meghan, and Kevin.
David was an employee of 33 years with the Philadelphia Inquirer starting in the mail room and becoming the Director of Advertising. David loved his Flyers, and also coached hockey at Archbishop Ryan High School.
Relatives, friends and employees of the Philadelphia Inquirer are invited to Dave's Life Celebration Sunday Eve, 6 to 8 P.M., and again Monday Morning, 9:45 to 10:45 A.M., at JOHN F. GIVNISH OF ACADEMY RD., 10975 Academy Rd., Phila. PA 19154. Funeral Mass will follow 11:30 A.M., at St. Anslem Church, 12670 Dunks-ferry Road, Phila. PA 19154. Int. Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kimmel Cancer Center, 233 S. 10th St., BLSB Room 1050, Phila. PA 19107, in David's memory would be appreciated.

Joanne and family,
I am so sorry. Dave was a great guy and father. He is no longer in pain and is in a better place now with a bunch of great people. He will be truly missed, but he left you with a lot of good memories to comfort you. He will always be watching over you. May his soul rest in peace and may the Good Lord give you and your family the strength, remember he will always be with you.

So sorry Dave lost his battle so young. He was a great guy. I will always remember his passion for the Flyers. When Kate Smith did God Bless America before a Flyers game and I would bump into Dave at the Inquirer the next day, I would say to him yo Dave did you see the game last night, he would say yes. I would proceed to tell him about my goosebumps and tears in my eyes every time when Kate Smith sings He told me he too feels the same way. I will always remember Joe his Dad and Dave whenever I see or hear Kate Smith singing God Bless America. Also Lauren Hart's singing. Rest In Peace Dave, I will miss you.

I remember when Joanne n Dave started dating Dave has always been an awesome n kind person a fighter but now he's parting with the rest of our family. So very sorry to hear about Dave. I had many conversations over the years during our "happy" days at the Inquirer/Daily News. He was so proud of Joanne and his children…It's a very sad time for all of them. May he "rest in peace".
