David Morgenstern Obituary
DAVID PHILLIP Ph.D. on Dec. 31, 2006 of Wynnewood, PA; beloved husband of Sonia "Sunny" (nee Trachtenberg); loving father of Myra (Alberto) Rios, Julie Morgenstern, Rhonda (Monique) Morgenstern and Steve (Susan) Morgenstern; brother of Helen Squires and devoted grandfather of Amanda, Jessi, Jasmin, Adam, Leah and Ryan. Relatives and friends are invited to Services Tues. 1 P.M. at Main Line Reform Temple-Beth Elohim, 410 Montgomery Ave., Wynnewood, PA. Int. Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will be returning to the residence of Myra and Alberto Rios. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Friends of Magen David Adom, 888 Seventh Ave., Suite 403, New York, NY 10106 or to the American Cancer Society.

I was a client of Dr. Morgenstern in 1987 and 1988. This wasn't easy because then as now, I lived in California, but for "various reasons" I traveled to and from Philadelphia on a frequent basis during that time period ,and as a result of circumstances became a client.
As cliche ridden as it sounds, David truly changed and enhanced my life. His insights, guidance and counsel have proven invaluable and long lasting. More memorable, however, was his warmth, compassion, joy and fun which he exuded. David was one of those persons that you liked from the get go, and I recall saying to him that if you didn't like David Morgenstern, you needed to get some therapy.
Over the years I have thought about him a lot and can only guess at your sense of loss.

Our prayers are with you and your family as you mourn the loss of your dad. I will always remember his laughter, his empathy, his intelligence and his love. His gifts will live on through those he loved. We will all miss him,

On behalf of my family and Adrienne I just want you to know that Uncle Dave will always have a special place in our hearts. As an uncle he always took time to talk to us, especially me and gave me encouragement to never stop trying! We are sending our love and deepest sympathy for everyone. We're so sorry to hear about Uncle Dave's passing away. I remember with fondness back to my childhood a number of times when I would play ball and talk with Uncle Dave in our family settings. He will always be remembered as a great man. You have our deepest sympathy and love.
