So sorry to hear of your loss. David and I were friends in USY so many years ago. He was an usher at our wedding and dear friend as we were growing up. I think of him often.

Dear Pat:

I was saddened to learn of David's passing. His suffering has come to an end, and I am sure he is in a better place. While no words can console you and your family for the loss of your loving husband and father, I hope it will be of some confort to know that you and your family will be in my daily intercessions. I pray that, in his mercy and compassion, God will give you the strength and love to endure during this very diffidcult time.

Dear Pat & the Boys,

I knew David since we were classmates in elementary school at Beeber. Our circle of friends differed thru the years but we remained friends thruout. I even recall that he drove a truck in the summer time transporting tires to/from somewhere. I also recall taking him skiing one day to the Pocono Mtns sometime after 1964 . . . I think.

We drifted apart after college but the icing on the cake was when we met one of the boys over Rosh Hashannah at Amherst College. I remember the incident as if was ystrdy & tell the story often to any classmates who'll listen.

It was great seeing him along w Ian Berg at our 50th OHS reunion. I was deeply moved that it was that imprtnt to both classmates to share those few hours w friends from 50 years ago. Thanks to you for helping him be there.

Carol & I will miss David but I will make sure that you'll continue to receive emails about our OHS class activities until you don't want to receive them.

On behalf of all of David's OHS June '59 classmates, may every wonderful memory of David be with you as you do your best to understand why another mensch was taken from us way too soon.

To Pat, Jonathan, Aaron and Michael--

We're sorry to hear that David is gone from us, but we know that he fought the good fight and that he is merely resting. Our memories are priceless. Such a fine, caring and loving man.

We'll see you soon. We want to help; please let us know what we can do. Let's circle the family wagons a bit closer now.

Love,
Debbie, Norman, Nolan, Sharon & Dorine

Aaron...Denise and I are deeply saddened by the loss of your father. While we didn't know him all that long, we did come to know him to be the gentle soul described by others. Even with his illness, the quality of the man was evident. Our thoughts and prayers are for him, and with you, your mom and family.

Aaron, I am very sorry to hear about the passing of your father. He had been one of the kindest people that I have gotten to know. I have fond memories of our childhood at Brent, around the Hill and at the squash club.
Whether strutting in his old uniform at Brent Halloween Parties or being the all around sportsman, or even the Washington lawyer, David, I remember most was a loving husband and father.
Your father and family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jonathan, Aaron my prayers are with you, you’re Mom, your brother and your entire family during your time of lost. I will never forget your dad. He was always one of Banneker's biggest supporters and they were some of our best parents - he and your mom. Jonathan, I remember when you and I went to Israel as exchange students in 1987 and how excited, helpful, happy and supportive they were and how that helped other parents like mine who were a little skeptical about us being in Israel for a month. May God bless and Keep you all in perfect peace.

Dear Pat,
David put up a valiant struggle against the insidious disease to which he ultimately succumbed. It seemed that his spirits never flagged. Marty and I will treasure now even more our trip with you last year to Door County and the opportunity we had to spend with the two of you.

To the entire Schwartz family: Our deepest sympathy for the loss of your husband, father and friend, David. We never had the pleasure of meeting him but Jonathan spoke fondly of him for many years. While I know this is a difficult time for all of you, please remember that he suffers no more and he will always be with you. May God bless all of you.
