EDWARD HARRIS Obituary

HARRIS
EDWARD MONROE JR., a resident of Darien, CT, passed away, age 90, peacefully on Thurs., May 8, 2014 at Stamford Hospital. Born in in Phila., PA, he was the son of the late Edward M. Harris, Sr. and Grace Wilson Harris. A graduate of Lower Merion H.S. and Yale Univ., he served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1943-1946 and saw combat on Okinawa. He graduated from Univ. of Penn. Law School in 1949. He joined Pitney-Bowes (Stamford, CT) in 1967, retiring in 1988 as VP, Secretary and General Counsel. His beloved wife of 57 years, Marion, passed away in 2007. His family and friends will miss him dearly. He is survived by a daughter; 2 sons; 5 grand-children; and his sister Grace Harris Steiner of Zieglerville, PA.

He is always there to give us true and lasting comfort when we need it the very most.
