DAMM EDWARD J. Legendary Business Leader and Family Patriarch Of Moorestown, Chairman of ACCU Staffing Services, one of the nation's leading independent staffing companies, died on June 18, 2021. He was 88. Ed was born in Jamaica Queens, NY on Sept. 14, 1932. Ed's career in the consumer-electronics industry began with RCA and spanned nearly three decades as he rose to prominence as a national sales manager for General Electric (GE). In 1988, Ed took early retirement from corporate America to join his wife, Doris, in their fledgling Cherry Hill, NJ-based temp service. Under Ed's leadership, Accu Staffing Services grew to become one of the fastest-growing and most highly respected staffing firms in the country. Today, in its third-generation of family leadership, the company employs more than 30,000 people annually, throughout fifteen offices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. The consummate storyteller, advisor, life-coach, mentor, and friend, Ed's words of wisdom have impacted the personal and professional lives of countless people. Ferociously competitive, unwaveringly loyal, unendingly generous, he was a uniquely sweet and humble soul. Ed was one of a kind and has left an indelible imprint on everyone who was fortunate enough to share his company. Ed was a veteran of the United States Navy and a Freemason, initiated in 1958. Ed was preceded by his wife of 57 years, Doris Damm. Dear father of William Damm, Edward H. (Laura) Damm, Elaine M. Damm. Loving grandfather of Lisa (Christopher) Burruezo, Michael Connor Sweeney and Erica Nicole Damm. Funeral services and interment were held privately. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family requests that donations be made Virtua Health Foundation for the Lourdes Renovation Project or Cardiac Services at Lourdes. Donations may be sent to Virtua Health Foundation, 303 Lippincott Dr, 4th Fl., Marlton, NJ 08053. Condolences may be left at lewisfuneralhomemoorestown.com
