To Ed's family: I have been the Falcons team MD for 41 years. The stories and funny incidents we have been involved in are legion, including Jack Fette. It is a miracle we all survived and didn't get fired. The NFL doesn't have fun like we used to. Love him!

"His life was gentle, and the elements
So mixed in him that nature might stand up and say to all the world “This was a man.”

Thanks for everything, Ed.

Dear Aunt Naomi and all of the cousins. I know you folks have heard this for years. Every time he would come to New Orleans to ref a game we were so excited. We knew the jokes and the stories were coming. We would re-arrange our schedules so as not to miss the visit. I do remember one time Mary Aileen and I picking him up at the airport. We never knew what kind of pants he would have on. Mary said "Ed, did you come in your pajamas" We called them the squiggle pants. I still remember that nite. One thing is you always were in for a surprise. He always treated us nice and always spoke lovely of his family. We will miss him. God broke the mold with him. I am proud that he was my uncle and proud to be a Marion.
Love,
Eugenia

The good Lord has called home one of the greatest story tellers and a great humanitarian. I wonder if on his way up to pearly gates above if he passed that blue brick?!!! R.I.P. Uncle Ed. Oh, and one other thing. I don't think St. Peter is going to let you play on the holy links in that getup. You'll have to change!!!

I enjoyed every minute I was with Ed. He was truely a person who cared about others more than himself. He will be missed greatly.

To Ed's Family. We remember Ed well from UNUM and Purpoodock. His wit and sense of humor cannot be forgotten. Also he was a great person to work with at Unum, and always enjoyed seeing him on his visits to Purpoodock in recent years.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
