MCHUGH EDWARD "ED" ANTHONY, JR. Sept. 3, 1942 - Oct. 18, 2025 Edward "Ed" Anthony McHugh Jr., passed away peacefully on Oct. 18, 2025, in Sammamish, Washington. Born on Sept. 3, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He married Suellen Mondale on Aug. 3, 1968, and together they raised three sons: Edward T. (Emily), Patrick (Carolyn), and Todd (Debora), who brought him immense joy with their children, Madalyn, Denali, Ellie, Kellan, Meghan, Owen, and Lucca. Ed grew up in Philadelphia with his siblings Susie, Maureen, and the late Michael and Timothy. After serving in the Navy, he studied Architecture at Drexel University. As a respected architect, Ed was self-employed. He was known for his humor and thoughtfulness, finding joy in family gatherings and coin collecting. Ed's story is one of a life beautifully designed and lovingly built. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held in Spring 2026. The family suggests remembrance to the Washington State Veterans Affairs, P.O. Box 41150 Olympia, WA 98504-1150, Please identify donations applied to 526 - Veterans' Memorial Account.
