Edwin Sharpless Obituary
EDWIN DALLETT SHARPLESS, MD, 93, of Wall Township, New Jersey, died Thursday, September 16, 2004 at his home. He was formerly of Elwyn, Pennsylvania. Dr. Sharpless was a graduate of Hahnemann Medical School. He retired in 1981 as a surgeon associated with General Surgery Associates at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. He was predeceased by his first wife, Evelyn Anderson Sharpless and his second wife Pauline Darby Sharpless. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted daughter, Noel Gay Wittenberg, Wall Township, N.J. and a son, Karl Barry Sharpless, La Jolla, California. He was the beloved grandfather of Heidi and Krista Wittenberg, Wall Twp., N.J. Hannah Sharpless Graff, Brighton, Massachusetts and Will and Ike Sharpless, La Jolla, California. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Dr. Sharpless' Life Celebration on Friday, September 24, 2004 at 11 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church, 16 Virginia Avenue, Manasquan. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the VNA of Central Jersey Hospice, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank, New Jersey 07701 or to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 16 Virginia Avenue, Manasquan, New Jersey. THE NEARY-QUINN FUNERAL HOME, Manasquan, New Jersey is in charge of arrangements.
