Florence Hamlet Obituary
FLORENCE M. (Holden), 82, of New Tripoli, formerly of Philadelphia, died Monday Jan. 26, 2009 in Allentown. She was the wife of the late James G. Hamlet and Leo W. Hoke. Born in Philadelphia, Florence was the daughter of the late Edmund M. Sr. and Martha B. (Hook) Holden. She was employed as a deli manager for Acme Markets, Philadelphia, for 24 years before retiring in 1984. Survived by her sons Wayne E. Hoke, Jack A. Hoke, Mark H. Hoke, her daughters Ruth Anne Givigliano, Jill A. Lykins; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 A.M. Saturday Jan. 31st at St. Richard's R.C. Church, 3010 So. 18th St., Phila. PA. Family and friends may call 10 - 11 A.M. Saturday in the Church. Interment will follow the Service in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Delaware County, PA. The HEINTZELMAN FUNERAL HOME INC., Schnecksville PA is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Richard's R.C. Church, c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box 196, Schnecksville PA 18078-0196.

What a grand 'ol girl you were Flossie! It was both a privilege and a pleasure to have spent time in your company. I thought of you this year when the Phillies took the championship! I will always treasure the times spent with Lord & Lady Hamlet. God rest your beautiful soul.

We are sad that we have lost a classic edition of womanhood. A lady like my Aunt Floss will remain in our memory for ever. We rejoice that She is now with my uncle Jim and has been removed from her suffering. God has welcomed Her.
