ALLEN FLOSSIE CELESTINE Daughter of the late Mary and Henry Allen, was born in Phila., PA on Oct. 23, 1932. She departed this life on May 10, 2021. Flossie was a graduate of the Philadelphia High School for Girls. She received her B.S. degree from Cheney University, and a Masters of Education Degree from Temple University. Flossie was employed by the School District of Philadelphia for 30 years. She served as Chair of the Board of Directors of Simpson House, Inc., and of Simpson Mid-Town. Flossie was a member of Janes Memorial United Methodist Church in Germantown for the last 58 years. She held many positions in ministry including Church School Teacher, Coordinator for Children's Ministries, the Board of Trustees and the Finance Ministry. Flossie will be sorely missed by her family, friends and church members. Services Saturday May 22nd, Janes Memorial UMC, 47 E. Haines St., Phila., PA 19144.
