FRANK FORD, 4th, a retired Advertising Executive and WWII veteran died February 2, 2013 at age 87. He was residing at Symphony Manor Assisted Living in Baltimore, MD.
Mr. Patterson was born in 1925 in Philadelphia where he spent most of his life until he retired to Pinehurst, N.C. in 1997.
He was the son of the late Frank Ford Patterson, 3rd and Dorothy McClees Patterson. He attended Lansdowne Friends School and left Upper Darby High School in February of 1944 to join the Army Air Force. He graduated from Lafayette College in 1950.
He held management positions with Campbell Soup Co., NW Ayer and Van Sant Dugdale. He was also a founder and board member of The Laurel Oak Corp. in Voorhees, NJ.
Mr. Patterson was pre-deceased by his wife, Lucy Patterson; sister, Constance Ellis Kipe and former wife Hope Patterson. He is survived by his children, Barbara Dover (George), Judith Patterson, Abigail Wiest and Scott Patterson, four grandchildren, 5 great grandsons and 2 nephews. Services were private.
