Frieda Herskovitz Obituary

HERSKOVITZ
FRIEDA SCHREIBER, passed away at home on Mon. Sept. 26, 2005; wife of Alex Herskovitz (deceased); daughter of Abner and Mary (Lamm) Schreiber; beloved sister of Vivian Schloss (deceased), Marciene Mattleman, and brother-in-law Herman Mattleman; devoted mother of Richard, Barton and Marshall Herskovitz, and mother-in-law of Susan; loving grandmother of Michael, Elizabeth, Rebecca, May and Ephraim Herskovitz; friend of long time caregiver Beryl Hackett. Frieda, a graduate of Bryn Mawr College (1938) attained her Masters of Psychology (1961) from Bryn Mawr and then earned an EDD in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania (1969). She practiced family and individual therapy for over 30 years. Frieda was devoted to her family, her profession and the arts. She loved to travel and enjoyed summers at her home on Long Beach Island. Services will be held Graveside 12:30 P.M. Wed. Sept. 28, 2005, Roosevelt Memorial Park, 2701 Old Lincoln Hwy, Trevose, PA 19047. Shiva will be observed 6:30 P.M. Wed. and Thurs. Eves. at the home of Richard and Susan Herskovitz. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to a charity of your choice.
