GEORGE MONAHAN Obituary
MONAHANGEORGE J. of Mayfair, on Friday, March 4, 2016. Son of the late Joseph V. and Agnes Monahan (nee Moule). Survived by his beloved wife of 51 years Anne (nee Karle) and his 4 children Mary Beth (Jose), George, Daniel (Dawn) and William. Loving Pop-pop to his 10 grandchildren. He was a veteran of the US Army. George was employed as a bookkeeper for many years by International Harvester and O'Connor Truck Sales as well as a longtime employee of Pathmark Supermarkets for 48 yrs. He was also a longtime parishioner of St. Matthew Parish, where he served as an Usher and Eucharistic Minister. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing Tuesday eve 7 to 9 P.M. at JOHN F. FLUEHR AND SONS INC., 3301-15 Cottman Ave., Phila. PA 19149 and his Funeral Wednesday 9:15 to 10:15 A.M. at St. Matthew Church (upper), 3000 Cottman Ave., Phila., PA 19149 followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 A.M. Rite of Committal Holy Sepulchre Cem.

I am so sorry to learn about George's passing. He was always a bright spot in our day at Pathmark Pharmacy Frankford. His sweet manner and joking personality were a welcome break in the day. My condolences to his family. I'm sure he will be leaving a big hole in their hearts. Dale Blum
