Carr Helen G. Age 85, died peacefully Thursday evening, April 13, 2023, surrounded by her beloved family. Born Helen Grantto Helen (Dougherty) and John Grant in Bryn Mawr, PA on February 19, 1938 she was a graduate of St. Katharine of Siena High School in Wayne, PA. Helen married the love of her life George Carr on April 25, 1959 and spent 64 years building an extraordinary family. They worked together as a team to create a lifetime of amazing memories. Helen's most cherished role was being a loving wife to George. To this day George considers her to be the "most beautiful woman in the world." Helen's favorite part of the day was early evening when they shared time alone and toasted their wonderful life together. She especially enjoyed Sundays at their home, entertaining her 7 children and their friends while cheering on their favorite Philadelphia teams. Additionally, Helen loved beautiful flowers, long car rides and taking vacations. Helen is survived by her husband George, 5 daughters Helen (Jeff), Jackie, Gail (Drew), Charlotte (Stephen), and Angela (Derek), 2 sons George (Erin) and Eric (Lee), her 14 grandchildren Stefan (Kristina), Alex (Lauren), Samantha, Travis, Ryan, TJ, Drew, Daniel, Shannon, Heather, Amanda, Marco, Donovan and Avery and her 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Catherine and brother, Jack. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the JAMES J. TERRY FUNERAL HOME, 736 E Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA. As Helen was a devout Catholic, a Funeral service will be held at St. Elizabeth Church, 120 St. Elizabeth Drive, Chester Springs, PA, 19425 on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Viewing hours will be from 8:45 A.M. to 9:45 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. Burial will occur at All Souls Cemetery, Coatesville, PA.
