HELENE CASSELLI Obituary
HELENE J. MD
of Roxborough, May 10, 2018, age 74. Only child of Nellie (Zawislak) and James Casselli, Dr. Casselli spent most of her childhood with her beloved Aunt Vicky and Uncle Raymond Kaminski. She has many godchildren. She attended St. Josephat's grammar school and maintained a lifelong friendship with her kindergarten friends. She went on to John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School, graduating in 1961; followed by Temple University for Bachelor of Science and, then, a pharmacy degree and medical degree. Dr. Casselli did her internship and internal medicine residency at Albert Einstein Northern division, followed by a specialty in rheumatology. She was on the medical staff of Roxborough Memorial Hospital in addition to many years as a physician at District Counsel 33. Dr. Casselli had a private practice, for many years, in Roxborough and was greatly loved by her patients and respected by her colleagues. Last year, she received an award from the College of Internal Medicine for attending the yearly seminar in Boston for 30 years of continuous attendance. Family and friends are welcome to Visitation at Sacred Heart Chapel at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 819 Cathedral Rd., Phila, PA 19128 on Wednesday, May 16, at 10:00 A.M., followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. Interment at Westminster Cemetery.
