HIND JACOB Obituary
DR. HIND "GEORGETTE" M., of Chalfont PA, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2015, after a long battle with ovarian cancer, at the age of 77. Dr. Jacob was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Regina; her brothers, George and Barbar and sisters, Ismalard and Esperance. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Rosamond Jacob; her niece, Sissy and her husband, John Hill and by her nephew, Joe and his wife, Kate Jacob; grand-nephew, George and grand-nieces, Juliet and Gianna.
Dr. Jacob was born in Kousba, El-Koura, Lebanon and moved to Pennsylvania with her brother where she attended Beaver College obtaining her B.A. in Education. She continued her education at Temple University where she earned her Masters and Doctorate degrees. Dr. Jacob dedicated her life to educating teachers and children, working in Michigan as a 3rd grade teacher during the day and at Eastern Michigan University educating teachers in the evening.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Tuesday, February 10, at 10:30 A.M., St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 8210 West Chester Pk., Upper Darby PA 19082. Funeral Service to begin 11:30 A.M. Interment at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Mt. Airy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. George Orthodox Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Hind's memory.
