Dear Carol,
My condolences to you and your family on the loss of your beloved husband, Jim. Yesterday, when my grandson Zach called us, I found out that my daughter, Susan and her husband, Larry and Zach had visited with you and your family. Until Zach's phone call, I was unaware of the connection between us! I know from them that Jim was a very special man--a wonderful, loving husband, father and grandfather. Susan and Larry love your family and I ditto their feelings--I will call you next week, and I look forward to spending time with you when I come to Philly.
take care.
Love,
Ettie

I had the opportunity to grow up and go thru school with Steven. Steven was the defintion of a good guy and it was a real tribute to see Jacob raise a fantastic individual.

Dear Carol,
Judy and I are very sorry to learn the sad news about Jacob's passing. We are in New York baby sittiing when we retrieved the message from Dori on our answering machine.
Regrettably it will not be possible for us to attend the funeral tomorrow; but our thoughts will certainly be with you and your family. Jacob was a friend and great neighbor and we will also miss him.
Please accept our deepest condolences and regrets for not being able to offer our support during this most difficult period.
Sincerely,
Judy and Al Greene
