I was so sorry to hear about Jims death. I worked with your Mom at Hurt Park in VA and shared many times with a group of friends which included your parents. It is comforting to know Jim is reunited with his "bride."

Dear Jim, Maribeth, Steve and Family:
Normand and I were very fond of your mother and father even though we saw them for short periods of time. Your mother had a twinkle in her eye and she would make us laugh at some of the stories about all of you when you were young. Your dad was such a vibrant person and always looked and seemed younger than his years. He was always interested in the latest technology. Always remember the great moments with the both of them, they will be with you forever. Our thoughts are with all of you. Love, Judy and Normand

It's hard to believe 4 1/2 short months ago Uncle Jim was in the hospital visiting our father Ed Murphy while he was dying. Our family will never forget the concern and love he showed dad, mom and us 11 children. The friendship Uncle Jim, Aunt Betty, mom and dad had for over 60 years was truly amazing and so real. Jimmy, Marybeth and Steve please know that our family is thinking of your entire family during this time. Please know that mom and dad are together again in heaven smiling down on all the lives they"ve touched in their lifetime.

I am a longtime friend of Jim's as far back as eight grade when he played on St. A's basketball team and I played for Immaculate Conception in Germantown. I graduated from LaSalle with Jim. I enlisted in the Air Force in 1952 also flew on "connies in 1955 and 1956 as a Radar Tech--also worked at RCA and Philco Ford---so we had a lot in common---had dinner with Jim on September 15 in Somers Point and he was fine--cannot believe He
is gone. My condolences to his family and I know he will be happy to see Betty in Heaven-----

Ed and I were devastated to learn of Jim's passing. We looked forward to spending time with him when we were in Margate and especially in Florida during the winter months. Jim was a special person and we were blessed to have him in our lives.
