JAMES A., 63 yrs. old, on Feb. 9, 2015. Jim was Pres. of Munn Roofing Co. and coached Women's Basketball at Phila. Univ., Hallahan H.S., Cardinal Dougherty H.S., 21st Ward, Rox. Eagles and he was an AAU coach for the Phila. Bells.
Beloved husband of Kathy (Baumann) Munn, loving father of Elizabeth (Josh) Barr, brother of Dottie Pepe and Thomas 'Herbie" Munn, son of the late Dorothy and Herbert Munn. Jim will be missed by nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing in Church Sunday, 5:30 P.M. to 8 P.M., and Monday, 9:45 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill PA 19444, followed by his Funeral Mass 11 A.M. Entombment St. Patrick's Mausoleum. Donations in Jim's name are requested to Phila. Univ. Mr. Munn was an unforgettable character and excellent coach: knowledgeable, supportive, tough--but never mean, and a lot of fun. No one's voice on the sideline could motivate you quite like his! I'm very grateful for the positive impact he had on me during my years of playing sports. You can hear the hearts breaking down the SiC jersey shore - a wave of shock has struck the lsland for we lost one of our beloved one who was loved !!! Not only did Jim bring laugher , smiles & a good time he was a diplomate of people . Where ever Jim was you wanted to be around him the positive he brought to the table was like no other!! Loving husband, father & great friend we lost a big teddy bear whom lived life to the fullest even in his pain & struggles you would never know. He was just that way. Always happy !! I am so very sad to read about Mr. Munn's passing. He was not only a wonderful coach but just a great man all around. He taught me one of my most valuable life lessons - if you want it bad enough, work for it. He mad a decision to hold me back from joining the 12&U Fillies Travel team but he took the time to explain to me why and that is a conversation and a kindness I will not soon forget.

Kathy,
We are still shocked at the passing of our dearest friend. SIC just won't be the same. We will miss our Friday & Sat morning visits down in SIC when Jim would come in from his long walks and have a cold bottle of water. He always made us laugh and we got a kick out of listening to the way he would talk to the kids about growing up to be kind and respectful young men. The boys were as shocked as we were when I told them the sad news. Please know that you will continue to be in our prayers, and we will always remember our good friend, Jim Munn.
