JAMES SLANE Obituary
JAMES J., on Nov. 1, 2010, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Concannon); loving father of James M., Ellen Ryan (James), Mark (Dona), Michael, and Patricia Felix (Frank); cherished grandfather of Jim, Kelly, Mylissa, Kyle, Frankie and Madison; dear brother of Peter Slane (Loretta) and Rose Murray. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Helen McErlean, Mary McDonald, Sarah Murphy, Francis and Catherine Slane. Relatives and friends are invited to James' Life Celebration Thurs. eve. 7 to 9 P.M. and Fri. from 8:15 to 9:15 A.M. at DEAN GEITNER GIVNISH OF FOX CHASE, 7900 Oxford Ave. (at Borbeck St.), Phila. and to his Funeral Mass 10 A.M. at Church of St. Cecilia. Int. Holy Sepulchre Cem. In lieu of flowers a donation in James' memory to Sisters of I.H.M., Camilla Hall Nursing Home, King and Frazer Rds., Immaculata, PA 19345 would be appreciated.

Mr. Slane was in my parents' wedding on October 3, 1953. He was a good friend to my dad, who passed away in 1987, and is always fondly remembered by my mom whenever we open her wedding album. We are very sorry for your loss.

Jim, Ellen, Mark and Michael - we're so sad to hear that Uncle Jim passed, our hearts go out to you all. I have the memories of Uncle James, Aunt Rose, Aunt Helen, Aunt Sally and my Grandparents (Pete and Loretta), having get togethers- that they all so looked foward to. The Slane syblings were always so close. I will miss Uncle James' sense of humor. When I was a kid my sister and I took a car ride to Atlantic City with my Grandparents, Uncle James and Aunt Helen. Uncle James had us laughing the entire car ride there and back. I smile when I think of him. He will surely be missed.

Hello to all of the Slane's, What a guy...He will be so missed, the only consolation is the re-union and Irish dancing going on in Heaven with Aunt Mae and Unc, Mom and Dad. Love lives on, Uncles James has left all of us with wonderful memories and so much faith. God's peace, Cass
