I spent the year in Montpellier, France with JT. There were 4 of us that were very close: JT, myself, Claire Sieracki and Arthurea Smith. We teased that when he came home for Christmas, that he wasn't coming back!!! He did and we were the better for it. The three of them came to Camp Hill for my wedding in September 1984. I am so saddened by his passing and that I had not found him while he was still alive. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Rest in Peace, JT.

Mr. T. We entered SHS highschool the same year. A wonderful teacher and advisor, dressed to the "t's" and always fashonable. Perhaps it is most telling that you affected not only your fellow teachers and students, but your students parents and families overall. Rest In Peace Mr. Taylor, you'll always be in our thoughts.

July 25, 2011

Rest in Peace Mr.Taylor, you always knew how to get students laughing, whether it was taking us outside and hosting a party on the baseball field, or telling us about your brown box and chinese church. May there be many chinese churches and brown boxes in the sky for you! :)

We had a great childhood. We laughed and grew up with smiles on our faces. When I think about you Jimmy I think about Balignac Ave and beyond and how we laughed so much our sides split. You became a giant of a man. May you now rest from your labor and bask in your reward. We will laugh together again. Jimmy Taylor (as I always called you by your whole name LOL), you will never be forgotten. WELL DONE THOU GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT!!!

Mr. Taylor met me many mornings at the door with his smiling face. He would alway hold the door for me and have a nice comment to start the day with. We always had a laugh for each other. Even when someone would take our parking spots! I loved the day he parked sideways so the person in his spot really wasn't going anywhere without him to let them out! He was a great person. I am glad I had the chance to be a friend.

Jimmy was the ultimate teacher, he taught us all something about living and enjoying life to the fullest. To know him was to know laughter. Being on the Trustee Board and singing on the Praise Team with him are but a few of the remembrances I will keep in my heart. I know he is in Heaven
directing "his girls" (The Senior Choir). Sing on Jimmy, for you have completed your assignment down here and the Lord has said, "Well Done, Well Done, You Can Come On In!

Uncle Jimmy,
Words can't express how much I am going to miss you. Every time I think of you, I think about all the laughter you gave me even when I was feeling down, you always knew what to say or do to put a smile on my face. But now I know you are in a better place and keeping grandma company, I miss you both. Til we meet again. I love you and thank you for being in my life.

Jimmy,
How do i say goodbye to yesterday? Some people come into our life for a reason, some for a season. You stormed into my life in third grade at Woodlyn Elementary school for both. The reason a lifelong friendship, the season full and plentiful. The fun, the laughter, the memories are immeasurable. Your devotion to the Lord, your church, your job as a teacher, your family and friends are profound. You lived a good and complete life. You never said "no" and was always willing to help. Thank you for showing me how and allowing me (and my family) to be a part. My heart is heavy and overwhelmed. You are truly a treasure beyond any measure. You were a phenomenal Godfather to my son and an indelible friend to my mother. I am deeply grateful for the memories and the friendship. Thank you most of all for being you. Life well lived. See you later.
