My sincere condolences to all the family. In the many years of our acquaintance Janet was a very bright, fun and helpful friend. She always livened up a party with good cheer and laughter. She was also right there if a friend needed help, as I have several personal instances to recall. It is sad to have lost her, and I will always remember with a warm smile the Janet that I knew in happier times.

To all the Stewart and Kartalia families:
I am at a loss for words to adequately express the profound sadness I feel about Janet’s passing. Our friendship spanned more than 40 years and involved sharing together every aspect of life. I will sorely miss her. At times like this I best find consolation in the memories of all the wonderful times we shared in those years and the happiness they gave me. Please accept my deepest sympathy in this time of mourning and know that my love, thoughts and prayers are with you.
Most respectfully,
Tim Hinkle

Dear John, David, Mitchell and Becca--It deeply saddens me to hear about your mother's passing. She was such a "neat lady". If there was one thing you gave to her here on earth...it was YOU. She LOVED being a mother. I know she has gone on to a more happier and peaceful place. May she always look down on all of you as you walk through your journey of life. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to learn of Janet's death. I admired her wit and intelligence as we shared many experiences at DPU. I especially remember the way she tossed her head back when she laughed. Janet did relish a good laugh.
