I was Dr. Chack's patient for many, many years. The first thing that struck me about his manner is that he sat with me and talked with me (not just about medical stuff.) He never once stood by the door with his hand on the doorknob, ready to rush out. Not once. Besides his wonderful bedside manner, he was the best
diagnostician I have ever known. Once, after 4 days of a stomach ache, I finally made an appointment. He asked me 2 very specific questions and then said, 'Your appendix has burst. You need to go to the ER immediately.' I thought he was overthinking this because I was not sick, sick...I just had a MILD stomach ache. After the ER doctor confirmed that my appendix had indeed burst, he asked me who told me that...I told him about my visit with Dr. Chack. He said, 'That's very impressive,' as he ordered me to the OR for emergency surgery. I am forever grateful and honored to have been under his medical care for as long as I was. God speed, Dr. Chack.

I want to offer my deepest condolences for Dr. Chack's passing. Dr. Chack was a very close childhood friend until graduation for high school. We forged a bond that words can not express. There was our unity we both faced as victims of antisemitism, commonality of intellectual interests, common sense of humor and compassion toward others. Unfortunately, after high school we drifted on different paths. The treasured memories never lost.
I just learned about Dr. Chack's loss because I thought about reaching out. It deeply deeply saddened me. Learning that he lost a child hurt profoundly as well.
May Hashem bring comfort to Dr. Chack's family. May his Neshama speedily enter the world to come. I will miss him always. I am so grateful for the honor of knowing him. He enriched my life beyond words!

I worked with Dr. Chack for almost 8 years at Powerback. He was a great physician and a wealth of knowledge. We had some really nice conversations over the years. He was a great man and teacher to all. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. He will truly be missed.

I am one of the screeners at PowerBack Voorhees Center where Dr Chack was a beloved physician. I got to greet Dr. Chack every day, he was always so kind and patient with me and the process, he had a special disposition and will be sorely missed by all of us here.

Sharon, I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Check was a special person, and friend besides being my mother's and my doctor. I enjoyed all the Biblical lessons he would share when we had an appointment. He was one great man. My heart is so sad hearing about his passing but I'm sure we will see him again some day. I pray God will give you peace and comfort Sharon. I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Chack for the last four years. Not only was he an impressive physician, but an excellent teacher, historian and religious expert with a kind and gentle heart. I will miss the conversation, his sense of humor and his friendship.
