Dear Paula and Family,
I was so sad to hear about Joel's passing.
Paula, I want you to know that you and Joel have been and always will be thought of with much love and appreciation!
I miss you both.
Love,
Jackie

My fondest memories of Joel go back to the days when Michael's high school friends would gather in the Levin home. Best of all, I remember Joel's calm and jovial demeanor, despite the strange presence of four teenage boys in his living room. No matter what bizarre teenage games and interactions were going on, Joel would simply glide through the room with a smile, a chuckle and a joking comment, and pass through again with a late-night snack. Joel and Paula always made us feel welcome in their home, then and ever since.
I will also always remember the joy and fatherly pride that Joel beamed all through the festivities celebrating Mike and Emily's marriage. Never was a softball slugger happier on the field than Joel was that weekend. Clearly, Joel was overjoyed at the life that Mike and Emily and Zoe were making for themselves, and his pride lit up the weekend for all of us.
Joel will be missed by all, but he will live on in treasured memories. My thoughts, sympathies and prayers go out to the Levins and all who knew Joel.

I remember how well Joel and Charles got on, and their take off skit on the Dungeons and Dragons quartet back at GFS.
