Dear Bert,
John and you have been dear, dear friends since the days when John and Ted were fraternity brothers and roommates at Cornell. In addition you and John introduced us for which we are forever grateful. How fortunate we have been to have him in our lives. He was indeed a superior person in all respects! We will miss him on your trips to California but will look forward to seeing you.

John was the very definition of a gentleman. How fortunate was his family to have had John as a guiding light. He leaves a legacy to his children and grandchildren...to all of us, to honor and cherish. Bert, while you have lost your soul mate and best friend, John certainly leaves beautiful memories of your wonderful life together. He tried so hard to stay for as long as possible. I know that strong will and spirit remains to give you comfort and guidance. Jim and I were fortunate to be part of your extended family for the past 30 years. We too grieve for John.

I didn't know John personally, but I work at Nyacol and we spoke numerous times over the phone regarding his customers needs. He truly was a hard worker and dedicated to supplying his customers with the very best he could get them.

Very sad! I worked with JB for 8 years during the Rohm & Haas days in the late 60s. A teriffic guy who will be missed by his many friends. Our condolences to Bert and family.
