John gave me inspiration. Professionally, yes. But more so John inspired me in different, more important areas of life. He inspired me to be a devoted husband. He inspired me to be a loving father. He inspired me to live a life committed to sincerity, kindness and humility. I am honored and blessed to have know a true gentleman who was able to inspire me in these ways by just being John. Michele, Jeff and Greg our prayers will be with you and we will miss John.

Michelle. In my brief two years at Villanova, I had the pleasure meeting and knowing John. Being from Pittsburgh, I had an immediate connection with him. He was a great friend and DPM brother. I'll always remember him as Quigley. Many years ago I introduced you and John to my wife Ruth at Brian & Denise's home. You and your family have our deepest sympathy Please accept our sincere sympathy. We'll remember you in our prayers. May God's peace give you strength in this most trying time. Ruth & Jack Roach

John Grimes welcomed the ELAM Program to the Gregg Conference Center twice a year for the past 10 years. He made sure that we had everything we wanted or needed; he always was eager to be of service; and he was honorable and sincere. We will miss him greatly, and our stays will not be the same without him.

John and I worked together at PSFS in the late 1970's. I stayed in touch with John through my association with The American College over the years, and saw John as recently as last week while at the college.
He was always warm and friendly, a true gentleman and professional.
I will miss you John.

You always had a smiling face
We never saw a frown
You always made us laugh
And wore your kindness like a crown
Everyone will say
You were one of the nicest people they knew
So we pray
To have God take care of you
Spread your happiness in heaven
And live the life we want you to
So spread those wings
Spread them big
So we will never forget those priceless memories
You will be missed
Never to be forgotten...

I would like to offer my sincerest condolences to Michelle, Jeffrey and Gregory. I met John when we were both freshman at Villanova University. We became fraternity brothers together and have kept a 35-year friendship. He is probably one of the nicest people I have ever met, and by nice, I meant a kind, caring, considerate, gentleman. He was a devoted family man and an enthusiastic Wildcat athletic supporter. John was a good man and I already miss him. Rest in Peace John.

You were truly a fine and decent man -- a true gentleman through and through. Your love for your wife and sons was apparent to everyone who had the privilege of knowing you. You were not only my boss -- you were also my friend. I will miss you forever.

John and I first worked together for the mighty PSFS bank in the Private Banking Department back in the early 1980's. This department was the jumping off point for many of us into the life insurance & financial planning world. Ever the optimist, he was always supportive and encouraging to those of us in the field. Our paths crossed many times over the next 20 years - John always made it a point to say hello and catch up on how our families were doing.
He will be missed - both professionally and personally.
May God bless his family with the good memories that John provided.
Michele, Jeffrey and Gregory...my prayers and thoughts are with you.
