JOHN KLAIBER Obituary

KLAIBER

JOHN FRANCIS, age 51 passed away suddenly in Atlanta Georgia on March 11, 2014. Beloved partner of Grady Dale Lee of Atlanta, Ga. Son of the late John (Gene) Klaiber. Survived by his mother Margaret (Peggy) Klaiber; sister Meg Axelson; brothers Michael Klaiber and Jim Klaiber; and his 2 dogs Bella and Lucy. Beloved uncle, cousin, and friend to many. John was born and raised in Maple Glen, PA. A 1980 graduate of LaSalle College High School, John worked for Robertson's Florist in Chestnut Hill where he discovered his love for and perfected his talents in floral design. Upon relocating, John quickly became one of Atlanta's most sought after floral and event designers, and was most recently working for Tony Brewer & Company. His touches on local events hosted in Atlanta, and in private settings throughout GA and the Southeast, were considered "top drawer" by clients. John's sweet smile, easy laugh, gentle soul and love of dogs will be dearly missed by all. His memory will be a lasting reminder to do what you love and appreciate the simple pleasures of sharing good times with family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation with family Wednesday March 19, 2014 9:30 A.M. at St. Alphonsus Church, 33 Conwell Drive, Maple Glen, PA 19002 followed by a Memorial Mass at 11 AM. Private Interment. A Celebration of John's life will be held at a future date in Atlanta, GA. How lovely to know that the kind, sweet, and gentle child I knew, remained the same throughout his life. His Christmas mouse decorated my home for almost 40 years, and I thought of him often.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Klaiber family. Please have comfort to know that John is safely home.

St Alphonsus today. Back then it was handball at recess, pledge of allegience before school, and John Klaiber's genteel manner toward classmates.

John was a St. Alphonsus classmate of mine back in the 1970's. Recently I've been trying to track down my old friends from that era and saddly today I just learned of John's early departure from our physical world. If I remember correctly, John loved Disney as a kid, and often frequented Disneyworld with his parents during our St. Alphonsus years. My heartfelt condolences to the Klaiber family and close friends of John.

I grew up on the same street as John. He took me to my first "formal" dance in middle school - and I remember the beautiful corsage he brought me! He was a genuinely kind soul with a wonderful spirit - and a great smile! So sorry to find out he has passed so soon. His family and partner are in my thoughts and prayers.

I have known John for fourteen years. First as a customer. Then he became a co-worker. John had an incredible spirit that was unmatched. I have never met anybody like John. He was creative, talented, hard working. His heart was so big. He had a great sense of humor. He always enjoyed himself. I will miss him. Dale is in my prayers as well as Bella and Lucy. I send my condolences to John's family as well as friends. God Bless.
