To the family of Johnny Cupcakes please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. This might sound strange but I worked at Pearl’s check cashing when I was a teenager back in the 70’s and Johnny Cupcakes would come in weekly I believe with his beautiful little girl. He was such a charismatic and personable man! When he would come into the store he was always so respectful and friendly to everyone and basically would light up the store with his presence. I just came across his obituary and wanted to send my sympathy. May he rest peacefully until you meet again.

Uncle Johnny was probably the most generous person I have ever met. He was always willing to help anyone in need. With his giant, happy personality, he lit up every place he walked into. He will always be in our hearts and the memories will make us smile! There are no "goodbyes", only "see ya laters". Our love to all the family.

My condolences to the Melilli family. Cups was a great guy. I remember back in the 80s when I was working for USA Today as a circulation supervisor and my car broke down. I went in to tell my bosses Joe Mancuso and Dick Raucci that I would have to quit because I had no car. Joe went outside and came back with this stranger who handed me a set of keys and said "Here you go kid, you can use my car until yours is fixed". I was able to keep my job and his kindness was FOREVER etched in my heart! Peace be with you Cups! With love and respect, Chris Knysh

When I think of Uncle Johnny I see his big happy smile and remember his wonderful upbeat personality. He lit up every room into which he walked. No one was more gracious or more generous than he was! Mostly I'll remember Uncle Johnny for how he loved his family... and that love lives on.
