Condolences to the Renye family. I had the pleasure to meet John when I brought my son to FJHS for an Open House. He did attend and had Mr. Renye for a few of his classes. Somewhere along the line, we are distant relatives, I believe. My son went on the become a teacher himself and I'm sure Mr. Renye had a lot to do with it. Condolences again. Gene Renye

To the wonderful family of Mr. Renye,
Words could never adequately convey how truly sorry I am for your loss but please take comfort in knowing that your beloved husband and father is now made new and whole again in the presence of Our Dear Lord. I had the privilege and blessing of having Mr. Renye as my Social Studies teacher at Father Judge High School many years ago and I will forever remember him for his kindness, humility and wonderful sense of humor. May God bless you today and in all the years ahead and may God bless Mr. Renye and hold him in His loving hands and embrace!

Mr. John Renye was my Freshman History Teacher at Father Judge HS in 1971. I'm very sad to hear of his recent passing. He was a fabulous teacher and great to have as a Freshman when I was making the adjustment to high school. He was enthusiastic about teaching History and kind and compassionate towards us students. I'm attaching two photos of him and his fellow teachers after they played in the Faculty vs Seniors Thanksgiving Rough Touch Football Game. It is a great photo of him having a wonderful time. It is a nice way to remember him. My condolences to his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends. May he rest in Peace. - Hugh Keough, Esq., FJHS '75.

I was in John's classes at St. Anne's and North Catholic. He worked at Foster's Drugs for many years. I sat with him and Richard Burns for a North Reunion. That was the last time I saw John. I always remembered him as a gentleman and a scholar, not to attach him to any metaphor. God Bless him and all the members of his family at this time. You'll see him again, this I promise.

I taught with John from 1973 - 1978, he was always a professional and a Christian gentleman. IT was my pleasure to know John, even though it was only a short period of time. May he R.I.P. and may God be with his wife and family, always.
