JOHN "JACK" F.


Passed away on January 2, 2018 after a long illness. Jack was born in Phila. PA, to John and Mary Zanine on October 4, 1940. Jack lived in Glenside PA, before moving to Lewes DE in 2006.
Jack attended St. Benedict Grade School and graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School. He joined the Air Force Reserve leaving in 1968 as Staff Sargent. He worked for the Glenside Post Office, as a letter carrier, retiring in 1999. Jack was an avid sportsman. He hunted in several states, but his favorite spot was Hunter-don County PA. He fished in New Jersey and for years, took annual trips to Nantucket, Martha's Vineyards or Cape Cod. Jack was a car enthusiast and loved a nice ride.
Jack is survived by his wife Mary Sheila (McGeehan); sister Mary Ellen; brother Joseph (Eileen); nieces Denise Gauss (Robert), Maureen Morales (Sebastian); nephews James Zanine (Kathryn) and Edward Zanine (Holly). He is also survived by 9 great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Paul.
